Use the x-acto knife to cut a small rectangle at the very top in the center (cut it the size of your ribbon).
Whatever else you want to put on it (markers, stickers, ect.).
Paint swatch in color you want (any size you want).
Paint swatches make the perfect thing to make personalized bookmarks out of. The second craft is much easier! Bookmarks! The steps I took to make the paint swatch bookmarks. It ended up being too big so I had to unfold and make the cuts larger. Not both.Īt first, I tried using a smaller cut for the smaller box but it did not work. Remember you only need scissors OR x-acto knife. You fold it up before gluing it to make the creases without worrying about glue getting everywhere and to see if you need to trim any of the sides to make it flat.
Take the smaller paint swatch and lay it on the cutting board.
Using thumb and index finger, clamp each corner for around 3 seconds so glue will make sides stick together.
Fold back to how you previously had it (with strips on the inside).
Adjust folds so that the cut strips are in the inside.
Fold all of the sides in (pretty paint side on the outside).
The one you start with, one in the other corner on the same side, then ones directly across from those two)
Repeat in corner on same side and then across from those two cuts (there should only be strips on two sides of the swatch.
Cut a small strip (half an inch) about a half an inch from edge.
Take the larger paint swatch and lay it on the cutting board.
Cutting board (top of a shoe box worked perfectly for me).
The smaller ones are tricky to work with but not impossible)
2 paint swatches- One at least 4×4 and one at least 3×3 (if you can find larger ones, use those.
I will give you the steps that I took to make it but part of it requires you to think for yourself and act on it. These are the steps I took to make the paint swatch box. Which is why today I am going to show you two crafts that you can do by using the swatches. Ever wonder what those paint swatches from stores could be used for besides helping figuring out what color you like better to pain a room? I do.
